About Desiree

"I know firsthand about the very real challenge and incredible joy that coexist in the world of parenting. Finding the right support for your child can feel like a big step—but you don’t have to do it alone

The ability to connect with children, to exist in their world and at their level has always come naturally to me. This love for children led me to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. As I worked with children in the school setting, and in my own personal parenting struggles, I gained valuable insight into the very real challenges our children face, as they try to survive in a world built for adults. With high expectations, daily stressors, and sometimes difficult past experiences—like family conflict, trauma, or big life changes—the ability to cope can get overwhelmed. My desire to help others navigate these challenges led me to pursue a Master's Degree in School Counseling and Preventive Mental Health, and my goal of supporting children and teens in making sense of their world in ways that work for them.

As the mother of four very different children, I know firsthand about the very real challenge and incredible joy that coexist in the world of parenting. Finding the right support for your child can feel like a big step—but you don’t have to do it alone. If your child is struggling and your family could use support, I’m here to help. Reach out to schedule a free consultation—we’ll talk about your goals and how we can start making things better, together.

An avid learner, I enjoy travel and reading in my freetime. I especially enjoy trips that include outdoor adventures, Broadway shows, and excellent food. I value human connection and love spending time with my husband, our four children, extended family, and kindred spirits. I love meeting new people and look forward to creating new connections with humans both large and small.
